6th Annual Longfellow Front Porch Music Festival

September 25, 2021

2:00–5:30 p.m.

Performers of any ability—from amateur to professional—hailing from the Longfellow neighborhood (broadly defined) are invited to participate in this celebration of music in our community. Musicians will play on the front porches or yards of homes on the following streets. Spectators are welcome to stroll the neighborhood to listen and enjoy the music, or join in an Open Jam session or community sing (UPDATE: Due to COVID safety precautions, an open jam and community sing will not be held in 2021).

We encourage all who are able to walk or bike around the neighborhood during the festival. For visitors driving to the Longfellow neighborhood for the festival, please park in the Longfellow Elementary School Parking lot (1130 Seymour Ave) or on the perimeter of the festival area to reduce vehicle traffic during the festival.

To volunteer to perform, share a porch, or ask a question, please email: info@frontporchmusicfestival.com.

COVID SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: For the protection and enjoyment of all who live in the Longfellow neighborhood and those who wish to enjoy the music and community of the Front Porch Music Festival, and in accordance with the Iowa City emergency proclamation on face coverings, we respectfully request that all participants over the age of two years old wear a mask throughout the festival, particularly when not socially distanced from those outside their household.
